Meat Loaf

Meat Loaf
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs 
1 onion, finely chopped
1 egg beaten
1 1/2 teaspoons salt 
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 oz. tomato sauce

Sauce
12 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Mix together Meat Loaf ingredients. Form loaf and put in pan. Combine sauce ingedients and pour over loaf. Bake at 350 for 1 1/4 hours. Baste occasionally. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

  1. We always can use a good meatloaf recipe. My mom has one that calls for quick oats rather than bread crumbs that is actually pretty good. While she was away a few years ago, my dad decided he wanted meatloaf for dinner. Being out of oatmeal, he decided to use All Bran cereal. Turned out to be a decent meatloaf. Also turned out to be a rather "moving" experience for the family!!!
